These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Queensland Quests website (queenslandquests.com) and any quests, clues, maps, apps, or related content we supply (together, the “Quests”). By purchasing a Quest, creating an account, or using our website, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use our services.

1. Who we are

Queensland Quests designs and sells self-guided walking and exploration quests across Queensland. Each Quest gives you access to clues, directions, and story content that guide you to real locations. We don’t provide a guide, chaperone, or supervision during a Quest — you complete it independently, at your own pace.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to purchase a Quest or create an account. If you’re under 18, a parent or guardian must make the purchase and take responsibility for supervision during the Quest.

3. Orders and access

3.1 When you purchase a Quest, we’ll provide access to the relevant clues and content, typically by digital access code, app login, or downloadable material (or a combination), as described on the product page at the time of purchase.

3.2 Access details are personal to your order. Please don’t share access codes or content publicly or resell them, except as expressly permitted for group bookings.

3.3 It’s your responsibility to check the product description before buying, including location, approximate duration, difficulty, and whether the Quest suits your group (for example, pram or wheelchair accessibility, distance, or terrain).

4. Pricing and payment

4.1 All prices are listed in Australian dollars and include GST where applicable, unless stated otherwise.

4.2 Payment is processed securely through our website at the time of purchase. We don’t store your full payment card details.

4.3 We may change prices at any time, but changes won’t affect orders you’ve already placed.

5. The nature of self-guided Quests

5.1 Quests take place outdoors, in public spaces, and involve walking. You’re responsible for assessing whether a Quest is suitable for you, your group, and the conditions on the day (including weather, fitness level, and any medical considerations).

5.2 You’re responsible for your own safety and the safety of anyone in your group while completing a Quest, including road crossings, uneven terrain, and general public safety awareness.

5.3 We don’t own, manage, or control the public locations, businesses, or landmarks featured in our Quests. We’re not responsible for their opening hours, condition, accessibility, or any changes to them after a Quest is published. We do our best to keep clues accurate and will correct known issues where we can.

5.4 Please follow all local laws, park rules, and any signage at Quest locations, and respect private property.

6. Intellectual property

6.1 All Quest content — including clues, story text, maps, artwork, branding, and the Queensland Quests name and logo — is owned by us or our licensors and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

6.2 Your purchase gives you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the Quest content for your own recreational use. You may not copy, reproduce, publish, or distribute Quest content, or use it to create a competing product, without our written permission.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to: - use our website or Quests for any unlawful purpose - attempt to interfere with, hack, or disrupt our website or systems - publish or share clue answers or solutions in a way that spoils the experience for other customers or the public - use our content commercially without a licence from us

8. Refunds

Our Refund Policy forms part of these Terms and is available at [Refund Policy]. It explains your rights under the Australian Consumer Law and how we handle change-of-mind and problem-with-purchase requests.

9. Liability

9.1 Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

9.2 To the extent permitted by law, and subject to clause 9.1, our liability for any loss or damage arising from your use of a Quest or our website is limited to, at our option, resupplying the Quest or refunding the amount you paid.

9.3 To the extent permitted by law, we’re not liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from your participation in a Quest, including injuries sustained while walking, navigating, or exploring a location, except where that liability arises from our negligence and cannot be excluded by law.

9.4 You participate in Quests at your own risk. We recommend appropriate footwear, sun protection, water, and common-sense precautions for outdoor activity in Queensland conditions.

10. Privacy

We handle personal information in line with our Privacy Policy, available at [link]. By using our website, you consent to that handling.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version on our website at the time you make a purchase applies to that purchase. We’ll post the “last updated” date at the top of this page when changes are made.

12. Termination

We may suspend or end your access to a Quest or our website if you breach these Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any disputes will be handled by the courts of Queensland.
